Advanced Beekeeping Training
This training is the first session of a comprehensive, year-round Beekeeping Apprenticeship Program developed by SOILS as part of the AFIR Beekeeping and Nature Discovery Center. It is addressed to people who have a serious interest in learning about beekeeping or wish to start their own beehive. Participants must have basic knowledge in beekeeping or must have completed one of our "Beekeeping Introductory Workshops". The training will be conducted by SOILS member Bassam Khawand – a local "permaculture beekeeper" and president of the Saidoun Agriculture Cooperative. Date: Saturday and Sunday, July 9-10, 2016 Arrival: Sat 25 July at 9:30 a.m. Departure: Sun 26 July at 6:00 p.m. Location: Saidoun village (Jezzine caza) Accommodation: shared furnished studios (in the old school building) Language: Arabic (translation available for non-Arabic speakers) Program of the workshop DAY 1 - Demonstration and practice:
